Pryors Bank Café
was born out of the success of The Beef Kitchen, a mobile catering business
managed and staffed by former homeless ex-Servicemen who are residents at the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation. Their
goal was to establish a business that could help to support the Foundation's
aims, which include assisting homeless and disabled ex-Service personnel to
live independently, by providing employment experience and support.
In June 2008 this successful business model was used to set-up the commercially
viable café at Pryors Bank.
Pryors Bank Café
benefits former homeless ex-Servicemen and women by getting them back into a
working environment through our unique apprenticeship scheme. A number of our
staff are former homeless Veterans who are now working towards their Level 2
NVQ qualification. Upon completing their qualification with us they will be
able to go into long-term employment within the catering industry.
Pryors Bank Café enjoys the full support of The Royal British Legion, the Department of Communities and Local
Government, the Ministry of Defence, Training for Life and All Saints
Church, Fulham.
